Immaculate by Katelyn Detweiler

Summary by Goodreads:
Mina is seventeen. A virgin. And pregnant.

Mina is top of her class, girlfriend to the most ambitious guy in school, able to reason and study her way through anything. But when she suddenly finds herself pregnant—despite having never had sex—her orderly world collapses. Almost nobody believes Mina’s claims of virginity. Her father assumes that her boyfriend is responsible; her boyfriend believes she must have cheated on him. As news of Mina’s story spreads, there are those who brand her a liar. There are those who brand her a heretic. And there are those who believe that miracles are possible—and that Mina’s unborn child could be the greatest miracle of all.

My Thoughts:
I can honestly say that when I was younger I was never really a religious person, in fact as religious as my parents were it never really stuck to me, eventually I did my sacraments with the catholic church and during the classes I took to be able to do them I discovered that, that was my religion. Reading this book I have found that its so close to reality, people are simply so blind and can't seem to reach out and feel a miracle out of fear. I will admit that this book was seriously boring during the first two parts but once you have fought through them you find that its a lot more interesting it has feeling and truth and for a fictitious book it hold reality at its center. It's well written, its characters have some serious character building, not much of a scenic book its world building is decent. Overall I like it, its honesty, and I would recommend this book to everyone, regardless of religion because it has a message and a lesson.
